Dear CMS Families,

In the next couple of weeks, CMS students will be taking the ILEARN tests. The ILEARN test is a statewide standardized test covering Math and English/Language Arts for all students. Fifth grade includes a social studies test, while sixth grade includes a science test. Students who are taking Biology as an 8th grader will also have a Biology ILEARN test.

Our testing schedule is:

6th/8th Grades: April 21st through April 24th

5th/7th Grades: April 28th through May 1st

We appreciate your help in encouraging your students during this time! Good sleep, limiting technology use during sleeping hours, and eating nutritious food are excellent habits to promote, especially when students may feel anxious about the tests.

If you would like to send an encouraging note to your child during their testing week, please fill out the attached Google Form. We will print the notes at 7 AM each morning and deliver them to our students before their first test of the day.
