On January 28th and February 4th, students from Cloverdale Middle School traveled to Bloomington North High School to compete in the Solo & Ensemble contest. The Solo & Ensemble Contest is an annual event, hosted by ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) in which students have the opportunity to work on extra music as a soloist or in small groups. Each performance is listened to and evaluated by a judge. The students are then given comments
on how to improve their performance and awarded a gold, silver, bronze, or participation medal depending on the level of their performance.
6th-grade students, Kenzey Davidson, Adryana Oberkrom, and Collyn Shaw earned gold ratings for their solos.
8th grader, Kendra Titus, received a silver rating in the highest division.
